Anyone can! We also offer discounted rates for Museum members and sponsors as well as U.S. Military and Veterans. Because we have invaluable artifacts on display, some events may not be best suited to a museum atmosphere but we welcome the chance to work with you to turn your ideas into a reality.

For seated events like ceremonies, meetings, concerts, lectures, etc., we can accommodate up to 175. Different types of events might reduce that number due to safety precautions and fire restrictions.

Certainly. This is one of our most popular bookings when the weather doesn’t want to cooperate. While it is natural to want to reserve this type of booking later rather than sooner, as most weddings/ceremonies are planned on weekends when the museum is normally open, we encourage you to not wait. That said, we aim to accommodate all last minute bookings but ideally will be offered at least 10 days notice.

As primarily a rental venue, we do not provide standard event services or catering and it is important to note that we do not have heating (ovens, warmers, etc.) or cooling (refrigerators, freezers) equipment on premises. We do have space for your food and bar/beverage vendors to prep and stage their self-provided equipment.

The museum has a reserved parking lot (up to 9 vehicles; includes 1 handicap space) for your use in addition to complimentary street parking directly in front of the museum as well as around the perimeter of Veteran’s Park which is directly across the street from our front door.

We do! In the Main Auditorium, we have a sound system with a corded microphone and has bluetooth connectivity as well as the capability to connect a computer or laptop with USB-C and RCA/REC inputs. Additionally, there is a theater-sized projection screen. Unfortunately, there is no A/V capabilities in the East Wing or the Fisherman’s Cottage.

Our covered front porch is 75 feet long and 8 feet wide in addition to both the Museum’s and the Fisherman’s Cottage’s front and side lawns (both buildings are on corner lots.) We have hosted cocktail receptions and seated dinners outdoors in all of these exterior spaces.

Not at all. You are free to choose to work with whomever you’d like. Upon request, we will happily provide you with a list of trusted vendors that both the Historical Association & Museum’s Board of Directors and our loyal members have had much success with.

Yes, we require a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy issued to the renter, listing the Museum as additional insured, from any licensed insurance company of your choosing (most people use their current Auto or Home insurance company.) This is standard, short-term Special Events Liability Insurance policy. A copy of the policy must be provided no later than 10 days prior to the event.
